What a spectacular compact Satsuki Azalea! Like a ray of sun, small 1.5″-2″ single flowers can range from white, pink, orange, and red with many shades in between! Prominent flower pistils. Sometimes flowers can even show multiple colours stripes on a single bloom. Blooms early June and features very small foliage. Grows ~ 1.5′ high by 3′ wide.

Sport of Azalea 'Kozan'. Introduced before 1979.

Special Notes

Exposure: Morning Sun, afternoon shade or all day filtered light. Protect from the hot mid-day sun. Protect from the prevailing winter winds, plant in a sheltered location.

Soil: A very acidic, moist but well draining soil is required. Avoid heavy compacted soils such as clay.

Maintenance: Selective pruning right after flowering in done. Dead-heading is recommended for increased flower production the following year.
