
Acer palmatum ‘Mon zukushi’
Japanese Maple - One of the Sacred Treasures
A very old variety of Japanese Maple. New spring foliage emerges light yellow-green with reddish hues and leaf tips. Leaves soon change to solid green and last through summer before transitioning to oranges and reds during the fall. Grows 8-10′ high by 6-8′ wide in a 10 year period.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Listed as early as 1704.
Special Notes
Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light.
Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done during winter up until early August.
