Japanese Maple - The Madder Plant / The Glowing Evening Sky
Apricot-red spring leaves mature light green by summer changing back to apricot again in the fall. Similar to a miniature and more compact version or Orange Dream or Katsura Japanese Maple. Grows 6′ high by 4′ wide in a 10 year period.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Found in a Japanese Market (Morning Glory Market) in 1984 and introduced into trade by Tsukasa Nursery.
Special Notes
Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light.
Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done during winter up until early August.
