Alpine Fir - DuFlon
NATIVAR – A miniature Alpine Fir, one of the smallest cultivars available. Typically forms a round ball of small dark green needles. Occasionally, a leader may develop which can be trimmed or left to form a globose pyramid. Grows 10″ high and wide in a 10 year period.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Found in the wild by Alton and Bita DuFlon in Olympic National Park of Washington in 1954.
Special Notes
Exposure: Prefers full sun to partial shade.
Soil: Prefers acidic, moist but well draining workable soil. Dislikes extremes such as wet or bone-dry soils.
Maintenance: Selective trimming only when needed.
