NATIVAR – A miniature Canadian Hemlock. Very small dark-green needles forms an irregular globe. Possibly the smallest cultivar of Canadian Hemlocks available. Grows 8-12″ high and wide in a 10 year period.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Found by Frank L. Abbott of Vermont near the Winooski River in 1933.

Special Notes
Exposure: Part Sun to Full Shade.
Soil: Prefers moist, well draining, acidic soils. Dislikes heavy compacted clay and dry soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed from spring to July.
