NATIVAR – A very dwarf and slow growing Canadian Hemlock. Short dark green needles appear on congested short stems to form an irregular bun. Grows 12-18″ high and wide in a 10 year period.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Found by Daniel St. George of Vermont on Green Mountains in 1927.
Special Notes
Exposure: Part Sun to Full Shade.
Soil: Prefers moist, well draining, acidic soils. Dislikes heavy compacted clay and dry soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed from spring to July.
