Rhododendron - Apricot Fantasy
A stunning elepidote, tall growing Rhododendron with exotic coloured flowers! Wavy, 4″ flowers are fragrant light yellow with a light orange throat and pinkish edging and red spotting. Flowers are born in clusters of 16-17 flowers. Blooms midseason. Upright, grows 6′ high by 5′ wide in a 10 year period.

Origin
Hybrid seedling of Rhododendron 'Hotei' and Rhododendron 'Brandt'sTropicana'. Bred by E.C. Brockenbrough of Washington in 1971.
Special Notes
Exposure: Morning Sun, afternoon shade or all day filtered light. Protect from the hot mid-day sun. Protect from the prevailing winter winds, plant in a sheltered location.
Soil: A very acidic, moist but well draining soil is required. Avoid heavy compacted soils such as clay.
Maintenance: Selective pruning right after flowering in done. Dead-heading is recommended for increased flower production the following year.
