A large growing and uncommon Spruce. Thick, glossy bright green needles are very stiff and pointy, arranged perfectly around each stem. Mature trees have pendulous branches mimicking a tail-like appearance. Yellowish-green cones are 7-10cm long and mature cinnamon-brown. Showy orange-brown buds. Grows 10′ high by 6′ wide in a 10 year period.
