Norway Spruce - Hillside Upright
A semi-dwarf, irregular conical Norway Spruce with a thick central leader. Short side branches are typically sparse with occasional dense clusters of branchlets. Dark green needles, tapers like a foxtail towards prominent orange-brown buds. Grows 5′ high by 2′ wide in a 10 year period.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Found as a witch's broom by Layne Ziegenfuss of Hillside Nursery, Pennsylvania before 1970.

Soil: Adaptable to various soils. Prefers slightly acidic soils.
