Picea abies ‘Acrocona’
Norway Spruce - Acrocona
A semi-dwarf Norway Spruce with an irregular habit of being upright, spreading and pendulous. Of course, its main feature is its large pink-red new cones on its branch tips even at a young age. Needles are lime-green. Due to its irregularity, size can differ grealty between plants but on average, grows 6′ high by 5′ wide in a 10 year period.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Originated as a mutation, found in the forests near Uppsala, Sweden before 1890.

Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun.
Soil: Adaptable to various soils. Prefers slightly acidic soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed from spring to July.
