Dawn Redwood - Gold Rush
A large growing, golden Dawn Redwood. Stunning bright new gold foliage matures to a golden-green by summer before turning orange-bronze in fall and shedding. Exfoliating, reddish-brown bark. Slightly slower growing than the species. Grows 18′ high by 5′ wide in a 10 year period.

Parentage unknown. Seedling selected from a batch of X-ray irradiated seeds by the New Oji Paper Company, Japan in 1974.

Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun.
Soil: Adaptable to various soils. Prefers moist slightly acidic soils. Able to withstand swampy soil conditions.
