Metasequoia glyptostroboides ‘Amber Glow’
Dawn Redwood - Amber Gold™
A large growing, golden Dawn Redwood. Soft feathery foliage emerges bright golden with a hint of burgundy in spring and matures to golden-green throughout summer, till fall when it changes to an amber-orange fall colour before shedding. Golden foliage is supposed to not burn in sun. Compact, pyramidal, grows 20′ high by 6′ wide in a 10 year period.

Seedling cross of 'Gold Rush' and what is believed to be 'Sheridan Spire'. Controlled breeding done by William A. Head of South Carolina in 2007.

Special Notes
Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun.
Soil: Adaptable to various soils. Prefers moist slightly acidic soils. Able to withstand swampy soil conditions.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed from spring to July.
