Tulip Tree - Little Volunteer
NATIVAR – A much more compact and manageable Tulip Tree! Grows 1/3 the size of the traditional Tulip Tree with a strong central leader creating a rounded-pyramidal habit. Leaves are also smaller than species and more deeply lobed. Foliage emerges light green in the spring and lasts throughout summer before turning golden-yellow in the fall. Flowers late spring. Grows 30′ high by 20′ wide.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Found as a chance seedling by Alexander Neubauer at his nursery in Tennessee.
Special Notes
Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun.
Soil: Adaptable to various soils. Prefers moist soils; dislikes dry conditions.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed from spring to July.
