Liquidambar styraciflua ‘Rotundiloba’
Sweetgum - American - Rotundiloba
A large growing Sweetgum with two key characteristics. The first being its leaf lobes are rounded instead of being pointed like the species and most other varieties. The second, is that it is almost completely fruitless. Glossy green spring and summer leaves turn deep purple in the fall. Pyramidal, growing 45′ high by 25′ wide.

Origin
Parentage unknown. First described in 1931 and found by R.E. Wicker near Pinehurst, North Carolina.

Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun.
Soil: Adaptable to various soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed from spring to July.
