Witch Hazel - Hybrid - Old Copper

A medium growing Witch Hazel which showcases some of the darkest salmon copper-orange flowers of all the various varieties! Flowers are moderately scented and appear during mid-to-late winter with a dark purple-red calyx. Green leaves turn yellow in fall. Grows 9′-10′ high and wide.

Parentage unknown. Introduced by Hans Bruns of Westerstede, Germany in 1970.

Special Notes

Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun.

Soil: Tolerant of various soils but prefers a well draining one, slightly acidic.

Maintenance: Selective trimming in spring right after the flowers have finished. Do not trim in fall, as flower buds have already been set.
