Chinese Flowering Dogwood - Wolf Eyes
A more compact form of a variegated Chinese Flowering Dogwood. Green (with bluish tones) leaves edged in white emerge in the spring and last into summer. When grown in full sun, the leaf edges become wavy and curled. By fall, the foliage turns red with pink variegated edges. White bracts (flowers) occur in spring and crimson fruit occur in fall. Grows 12′-15′ high and wide.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Found as a branch sport at Manor View Farm, Maryland in 1988.
Special Notes
Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun.
Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done in the spring right after the flowers finish. Do not trim summer or afterwards as, you will be removing next springs flower buds.
