Chinese Flowering Dogwood - Summer Gold
A wonderful yellow variegated Chinese Flowering Dogwood. Flat, non-wavy green leaves emerge in spring with uniform yellow margins. The variegation lasts through summer with a bit of pink hues appearing. By fall, the foliage turns a stunning flaming red. Creamy-white bracts (flowers) appear around June while fall brings pinkish-red fruits. Grows 15′ high and wide.

Origin
Found as a chance seedling of Cornus kousa by Crispin Silva of Oregon in 2010.
Special Notes
Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun.
Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done in the spring right after the flowers finish. Do not trim summer or afterwards as, you will be removing next springs flower buds.
