Chinese Flowering Dogwood - Summer Fun
A variegated Chinese Flowering Dogwood. Leaves first emerge green edged in pink during the spring and transition to a white edge by summer. Cooler fall temperatures change the foliage to shades of red, orange and pink coupled with strawberry like fruit. Grows 18′ high by 15′ wide.

Origin
Branch mutation off of Cornus kousa var. chinensis. Discovered and introduced by Buchholz Nursery, Oregon in 1998.
Special Notes
Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun.
Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done in the spring right after the flowers finish. Do not trim summer or afterwards as, you will be removing next springs flower buds.
