Chinese Flowering Dogwood - Little Poncho
A dwarf Chinese Flowering Dogwood! While compact, this variety actually has slightly larger and more abundant white pointed bracts (flowers) than the typical Flowering Dogwood. Lush green spring and summer leaves take on shades of red and purple during the fall. Large red berries occur during this time as well. Grows 8′-10′ high by 5′-6′ wide.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Discovered by Bob Flaners of Tennessee.
Special Notes
Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun.
Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done in the spring right after the flowers finish. Do not trim summer or afterwards as, you will be removing next springs flower buds.
