Chinese Flowering Dogwood - Ed Mezitt

This Chinese Flowering Dogwood showcases burgundy-purple new spring foliage which transitions to bronze till flowering, then turning green till fall when it becomes a stunning orange. Creamy overlapping white bracts (flowers) emerge in late spring and mature to a hint of pink. Strawberry like fruits appears in autumn. Grows 15′ – 20′ high and wide.

Special Notes

Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun.

Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.

Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done in the spring right after the flowers finish. Do not trim summer or afterwards as, you will be removing next springs flower buds.
