A golden dwarf Hinoki Cypress being a more popular version than others. Compact fans of golden foliage forming a globe when young becoming an irregular pyramid with age. Grows 2′ high by 1.5′ wide in a 10 year period.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Originated from W.H. Rogers & Sons Nursery of the United Kingdom in the 1910s. Named after the proprietor B.G. Verdon.

Soil: Tolerant of various well draining soils, preferring slightly acidic.
