NATIVAR – A vigorous upright Eastern Redbud with exceptional dark purple foliage. Pink pea-like flowers covers this upright selection in early spring before foliage appears. New spring leaves emerge a rich dark burgundy-purple, holding this colouration long through the season before taking on green tones. Grows 25′ high by 15-20′ wide.

Special Notes
Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun. Shelter from winter winds.
Soil: Prefers moist, well draining soils. Dislikes heavy compacted clay or very sandy dry soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning to shape right after flowering. Remove dead wood in early spring.
