Eastern Redbud - Alley Cat
NATIVAR – A variegated Eastern Redbud! New foliage emerges soft green with hues of coppery-pink and matures green with splashes of white throughout. Noted to be more sun resistant than other variegated varieties. As with traditional Redbuds, dark pink pea-shaped flowers emerge on bare stems in early spring before the foliage. Grows 20′ high by 30′ wide.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Found by Allan Bush of Jelitto Seeds in an alley near his home in Kentucky. It was introduced Hidden Hollow Nursery of Tennessee in 2016.
Special Notes
Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun. Shelter from winter winds.
Soil: Prefers moist, well draining soils. Dislikes heavy compacted clay or very sandy dry soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning to shape right after flowering. Remove dead wood in early spring.
