A semi-dwarf growing Himalayan Cedar known for its extra cold hardiness. Forms a narrow pyramidal structure of intense silvery-blue new growth which matures green. Weeping branch tips. Grows 6-8′ high by 4-6′ wide in a 10 year period.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Introduced by Güsnther Horstmann Nursery, Germany before 1979. Named after the explorer which found the seed in Paktia Province, Afghanistan.
