Azalea - Weston's Lemon Drop
A deciduous Azalea with peach buds that open pale yellow, fading in time. Flowers are fragrant, blooming in early summer. Mildew resistant, bluish-green leaves turn dark red in the fall. Grows 3′-6′ high and wide in a 10 year period.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Azalea viscosum and an unknown Azalea hybrid. Bred by Ed Mezitt of Weston Nurseries, Massachusetts in 1963.
Special Notes
Exposure: Morning Sun, afternoon shade or all day filtered light. Protect from the hot mid-day sun. Protect from the prevailing winter winds, plant in a sheltered location.
Soil: A very acidic, moist but well draining soil is required. Avoid heavy compacted soils such as clay.
Maintenance: Selective pruning right after flowering in done. Dead-heading is recommended for increased flower production the following year.
