Azalea ‘Nachi no tsuki’
Azalea - Satsuki - Moon of Nachi
A low and compact growing Satsuki Azalea. Flowering late mid-season, flowers are 1.5-2″ wide and are highly variable. Often white with various degrees of reddish-purple stripes and speckles but they can also be almost completely reddish-purple with a lighter center.

Origin
Cross between Azalea 'Shiko-no-Tsuki' and Azalea 'Chiyo-no-Tsuki'. Introduced in 1975.
Special Notes
Exposure: Morning Sun, afternoon shade or all day filtered light. Protect from the hot mid-day sun. Protect from the prevailing winter winds, plant in a sheltered location.
Soil: A very acidic, moist but well draining soil is required. Avoid heavy compacted soils such as clay.
Maintenance: Selective pruning right after flowering in done. Dead-heading is recommended for increased flower production the following year.
