Aesculus turbinata ‘Marble Chip’

Aesculus turbinata ‘Marble Chip’

Horse Chestnut - Japanese - Marble Chip

A very unique and rare form of the Japanese Horse Chestnut. Large leaves, the size of dinner plates, emerge green with white and pink variegation in the spring. The amount of variegation can differ from leaf to leaf. By summer the leaves deepen to a darker green and all pink traces are gone leaving just white. Fall colour brings non-notable yellow. 4″-8″ creamy white flowers appear in May while fruits later on can be as large as 2″ nuts. Grows 20′-30′ high and wide.
