Japanese Full Moon Maple - Red Dawn
A full Moon Maple (hybrid) with red new spring foliage with a green center slowly emerging by summer to give it a two-tone effect. Fall colour is a brilliant crimson! Grows 8′ high by 6′ wide in a 10 year period.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Introduced by Buchholz Nursery, Oregon. Most likely a hybrid with Acer palmatum.
Special Notes
Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light.
Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done during winter up until early August.
