Japanese Full Moon Maple - Mikado
A Full Moon Maple with plum red new spring foliage which fades to expose chartreuse veins, lasting into summer. The foliage changes to an orange-red colour in the fall. Grows 10′ high by 5′ wide in a 10 year period.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Introduced by Buchholz Nursery, Oregon. Possible hybrid with Acer palmatum.
Special Notes
Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light.
Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done during winter up until early August.
