
Acer shirasawanum ‘Autumn Moon’
Japanese Full Moon Maple - Autumn Moon
The orange counter part to ‘Aureum’ and the second most known variety of the Full Moon Maples. New spring leaves emerge a burnt orange and slowly transition to a orangey-green summer colour till fall when they turn orange and red in colour. Grows 6′ high by 4′ wide in a 10 year period.

Origin
Seedling from Acer shirasawanum 'Aureum'. Selected by Maplewood Nursery, Oregon in 1978.
Special Notes
Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light.
Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done during winter up until early August.
