Sycamore maple - Eskimo Sunet

A beautiful large growing maple tree. One of the showiest maples having green leaves that are coated with speckles of white and pink with rich purple undersides. Foliage turns shades of bright yellow and orange in the fall. Grows 10-12′ high and wide in a 10 year period.

Origin

Parentage unknown. Originated as a chance seedling by John Wills in the Esk Valley of New Zealand.

Special Notes

Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light.

Soil: Tolerant of various soils. Salt tolerant.

Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done during winter up until early August.

While Eskimo Sunset can take full sun once established, protection for the hot mid-day sun is recommended when young.
