
Acer palmatum ‘Shidava Gold’
Japanese Maple - Shidava Gold
A dwarf version of ‘Aoyagi’, with bright yellow spring foliage maturing a light green by summer, all while contrasting with its lovely green bark seen intermittently against the foliage as well as in winter. In the fall, golden-yellow foliage returns. Grows 6′ high by 3′ wide in a 10 year period.

Origin
Discovered as a witch's broom on Acer palmatum 'Aoyagi'. Named and introduced by Raraflora Nursery, Australia.
Special Notes
Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light.
Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done during winter up until early August.
