Japanese Maple - Pink Princess

An exciting variegated witch’s broom Japanese Maple! Leaves with slight sickle curves emerge green with a pink margin in the spring. By summer, the pink fades to white while the base gains a slightly bluish tinge. Foliage changes to shades of orange and red in fall. Grows 4′ high and wide in a 10 year period.

Found as a witch's broom on Acer palmatum 'Beni shichihenge' by Carl Munn.

Special Notes

Exposure: Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light. Protected from the hot mid-day sun.

Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.

Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done during winter up until early August.
