What a unique Japanese Maple! Rounded leaf lobes and size can vary leaf to leaf with a uneven texture. New spring leaves emerge green with a reddish margin and turn various shades of green by summer given it a subtle variegated appearance. By fall tri-colours of orange, red and yellow appear. Grows 8′ high by 5′ wide in a 10 year period.

Origin

Parentage unknown. Found as a wild seedling growing in Japan around 1994.

Special Notes

Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light.

Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.

Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done during winter up until early August.
