Japanese Maple - Heptolobum Rubrum
A large growing upright Japanese Maple with large leaves emerging deep purple-red in the spring. By summer, the purple leaves take on a bit of a bronze tinge. In fall, knockout colours of orange-red to scarlet are seen. Grows 10′ high and wide in a 10 year period.

Origin
Parentage unknown. An old Dutch variety.
Special Notes
Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light.
Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done during winter up until early August.
