Japanese Maple - Fairy Hair
Probably the most delicate of all the Japanese Maples having extremely narrow hair-like lobed leaves. Green spring leaves are accentuated with red petioles. Green in summer as well but changes to a bright orange fall colour. Grows 2′ high by 1′ wide in a 10 year period.

Origin
Found as a seedling of Acer palmatum 'Scolopendrifolium' by Buchholz Nursery, Oregon in 1985.
Special Notes
Exposure: Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light. Extreme protection from the hot mid-day sun is required as this variety is extremely sensitive to too much sun.
Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done during winter up until early August.
