Japanese Maple - Cutleaf - Crimson Queen
One of the more traditional weeping Japanese Maples. Medium to large red new spring growth turns a deeper crimson-purplish by summer and maintains this colour well throughout. By fall, the foliage turns a brilliant bright scarlet. Stake to desired size.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Introduced in 1965.
Special Notes
Exposure: Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light. Protected from the hot mid-day sun.
Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done during winter up until early August.
