Japanese Maple - Big Red Bamboo
Deeply lobed foliage resembles bamboo that is a beautiful purple-red colour in spring and summer before turning an outstanding crimson in fall. Vigorous upright, grows 10′ high by 8′ wide in 10 years.

Origin
Found as a chance seedling by Edward Wood in 1980 and then introduced by T.C. Plant Company of Hillsboro, Oregon
Special Notes
Exposure: Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light. Protected from the hot mid-day sun.
Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done during winter up until early August.
