Japanese Maple - Atrolineare
A strong red ribbonleaf style Japanese Maple which imitates leaves of a willow or bamboo. The leaves take on a bit of a burgundy-green hue by summer before turning fiery-red in the fall. Grows 9′ high in a 10 year period.

Parentage unknown. Introduced by Fritz Graf von Schwerin, from Germany in 1893.

Special Notes
Exposure: Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light. Protected from the hot mid-day sun.
Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done during winter up until early August.
