NATIVAR – A new variety of Pawpaw which is surpassing all benchmarks! High yielding (more than 150 per tree) of roundish medium sized fruit which have a rich and delicious flavour. Fruit ripens early season. Large green leaves turn yellow in fall. Grows 12-15′ high and wide.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Developed at Kentucky State University and released in 2016. Named after Dr. Harold R. Benson.
Special Notes
Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun.
Soil: Tolerant of various soils including excess moisture.
Maintenance: Selective pruning only to build shape which may result in loss of flower/fruits for the first year when done.
