
Acer palmatum ‘Seiun kaku’
Japanese Maple - Blue Green Palace in the Clouds
Considered to be a larger growing form of the well known ‘Mikawa yatsubusa’. Small leaves overlap each other like shingles on a roof. Foliage emerges a yellow-green in the spring transitioning to a dark green by summer and changing to reds in the fall. Grows 6′ high by 3′ wide in a 10 year period.

Special Notes
Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light.
Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done during winter up until early August.
