Japanese Maple - Rhode Island Red
One of the most requested dwarf Japanese Maples due to its nice full and dense round shape. New bright red spring foliage changes to a purple-red for summer and back to a fiery red in the fall. Grows 6′ high and wide in a 10 year period.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Discovered at Rhode Island Nurseries, Middletown, Rhode Island. Introduced by Iseli Nursery, Oregon.
Special Notes
Exposure: Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light. Protected from the hot mid-day sun.
Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done during winter up until early August.
