Japanese Maple - Peach-coloured Wild Mountain

A dwarf Japanese Maple with small leaves and a kaleidoscope of colours throughout the season. Spring foliage emerges bright peach changing quickly to orange-red and then red and pink. By summer the leaves have transitioned to green with bronzy-red margins and can sometimes be seen having light speckled variegation. Fall colour is bright red. Grows 5′ high by 4′ wide in a 10 year period.

Origin

Parentage unknown. Found and introduced by Dick Van der Maat Nursery in Boskoop, Netherlands.

Special Notes

Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light.

Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.

Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done during winter up until early August.
