Acer palmatum ‘Katsura’
Japanese Maple - Wig
One of our favourite Japanese Maples! Early, new yellow spring grown is edged in a dark orange margin which is stunning. In summer leaves transition to a yellowish-green colour. Fall colour is supposed to be a yellow-orange which is what we always remember it as, however, in recent years, ours in our garden displays more purplish fall colours. A large upright tree which grows 8′ high by 7′ wide in a 10 year period.
