Japanese Maple - Ariadne
A stunning Japanese Maple. Large, multi-coloured leaves constantly change throughout the year. New leaves emerge marbled in colour of orange to red which is highlighted with yellow-green veins. By summer the veins transition to a reddish colour with a new background of purplish-red. By the fall the leaves again transtion back to a more instense spring colouration with pastel shades. Grows 7′ high by 5′ wide in a 10 year period.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Introduced by Firma C. Esveld Nursery in Boskoop, Netherlands.
Special Notes
Exposure: Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light. Protected from the hot mid-day sun.
Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining slightly acidic soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed, can be done during winter up until early August.
