A dwarf Korean Fir forming a very dense mound of short light-green needles which are curled to create a frosty halo effect. Grows 1′ high by 1.5-2′ wide in a 10 year period.

Origin

Found as a witch's broom on Abies koreana (species) by Herbert Grüsbele of Germany in the mid 1980s.

Synonymous

Abies koreana 'Doni-Tajuso'

Special Notes

Exposure: Prefers full sun to partial shade.

Soil: Prefers acidic, moist but well draining workable soil. Dislikes extremes such as wet or bone-dry soils.

Maintenance: Selective trimming only when needed.

Group: Dwarf
