NATIVAR – A weeping Canadian Hemlock. Forms a layered gown of green needles on pendulous branches. Stake to desired height or let creep and mound on the ground. Branches can put on ~1′ of growth per year.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Seedling selected by General Joseph Howland of New York in the late 1850s.
Special Notes
Exposure: Part Sun to Full Shade.
Soil: Prefers moist, well draining, acidic soils. Dislikes heavy compacted clay and dry soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed from spring to July.
