NATIVAR – A dwarf Canadian Hemlock. Forms a symmetrical low mound with a depressed center, mimicking a bird’s nest. Grows 20″ high by 3′ wide in a 10 year period.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Seedling selected by Jeddeloh Nursery of Germany in 1950.
Special Notes
Exposure: Part Sun to Full Shade.
Soil: Prefers moist, well draining, acidic soils. Dislikes heavy compacted clay and dry soils.
Maintenance: Selective pruning as needed from spring to July.
