Japanese White Pine - Rough Bark
A beloved semi-dwarf Japanese White Pine for Bonsai enthusiasts. Silver-blue needles are thin and twisted. The main feature is its bark which becomes rough with age. Grows 5′ high by 3′ wide in a 10 year period.

Origin
Parentage unknown. Listed as early as 1976 in Japan.
Special Notes
Exposure: Full Sun to Part Sun or all day indirect/filtered light.
Soil: Well workable, moist but well draining soil. Dislikes heavy clay soils.
Maintenance: Candling is done to new spring shoots before the needles fully emerge.
