An elepidote, medium growing Rhododendron. 2″ frilly greenish-yellow flowers are born in trusses of 15 flowers. Blooms late midseason, claimed to be one of the best hardy yellow varieties. Dense, grows 4′ high and wide in a 10 year period.

Hybrid seedling of Rhododendron 'Hindustan' x ({[R. 'Catawbiense Album' x (R. fortunei ssp discolor x R. Fabia Group)] x (R. 'Russell Harmon' xR. 'Goldsworth Orange')} x R. 'Golden Gala'). Introduced by David Leach.

Special Notes

Exposure: Morning Sun, afternoon shade or all day filtered light. Protect from the hot mid-day sun. Protect from the prevailing winter winds, plant in a sheltered location.

Soil: A very acidic, moist but well draining soil is required. Avoid heavy compacted soils such as clay.

Maintenance: Selective pruning right after flowering in done. Dead-heading is recommended for increased flower production the following year.
